BIOL 3346  Microscopy Methods and Applications

BIOL 1006 and 21 credits in BIOL or ENSC

Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

Description:

This course prepares students for the practical use of light, fluorescent, and laser confocal microscopes through understanding of the properties of light optics and acquisition of images. Theoretical and practical components of this course will allow students to gain experience with application and use of different fluorochromes, acquisition of digital microimages, and assembly of annotated publication-quality plates.
