Description:

An intensive study of the reading process; the relationship between oracy and literacy; pattern of growth and development in literacy. An intensive study of current trends, problems and procedures in teaching reading. Children146s literature in the program. Evaluation of instructional materials in relation to the reading process and the needs, interests and abilities of children. Diagnostic and evaluation techniques. Classroom organization for language instruction. Successful students will be recommended for the Ontario College of Teachers additional qualification READING-2.
