Description:

Drawing on mainstream US and independent cinema, as well as world cinema, this course will examine the way film is uniquely positioned to convey and express religious themes, ideas and values. Students will be introduced to a range of critical, theoretical and interpretive approaches to film which will then be applied to specific films and specific themes. This course may be credited towards Film and a Major in Fine Arts (Art History and Visual Studies stream).
