3 credits of 1000 level English (excluding ENGL 1551 and ENGL 1552)

Description:

Students examine the unique ways in which visual texts create and tell stories. Visual literacy and the relationship between image and text inform the approach of this course, which introduces students to the study of visual texts, and the relationship between text and image. Students can expect at least 50% of the course material to be drawn forms such as the graphic novel and illustrated books. Specific content varies from year to year.
