Description:

The continent of Africa is often mistakenly perceived as one big country. The goal of this course is to go beyond these generalizations in order to understand the distinctions that exist between different regions in Africa. Particular attention will be paid to the biophysical, historical and economic forces that continue to shape Africa's human and natural landscape.
