Teacher candidates engage in school-based field experiences as an introduction to the profession. Teacher candidates examine and demonstrate the functions, responsibilities and scope of practice of teachers through observation, teaching lessons, and reflecting upon their experiences as a means to inform their personal and professional development. Teacher candidates begin to connect theory to practice.
