Description:

This course will examine the central problems of colonization through a range of critical perspectives. Developing upon the position that colonization shapes lived experience as well as what counts as knowledge, topics will include the effects of colonization on sexualized and racialized embodiment; the role of nationalism; and ideas of community and belonging. This course may be credited towards Native Studies and Social Welfare & Social Development.
