A study of educational theory and processes designed to help children and adolescents to better understand themselves, the opportunities available to them and their social responsibilities. An introduction to basic counselling and communication skills; and awareness of the legal and ethical responsibilities for guidance programs and counsellors. Successful completion will lead to the recommendation for the Ontario College of Teachers Additional Qualification GUID-1.
