Description:

This course provides conceptual and methodological frameworks for teaching adults with disabilities. Students examine the educational needs of adult learners with disabilities and how their learning needs may be addressed. Content includes neurological impairments, learning disabilities, musculoskeletal conditions, congenital conditions, acquired brain injuries, and other physical conditions. Students explore the social, emotional, and educational needs of learners and address the topic of school phobia. Students become aware of various assistive technologies.
