Description:

This course will introduce the student to some of the key figures of ancient Rome such as Cicero, Julius Caesar, and the Roman emperors through the study of ancient biographical authors such as Plutarch and Suetonius, as well as through other historiographical sources. The selection will vary from year to year according to the interests of the instructor and the students. This course may be credited towards History.
