ADMN 2306 Business Ethics
Hours:Three hours of lecture per week for one term.
Description:The role of decision-making in business is placed in the context of basic philosophical perspectives on ethical behaviour. Decision-making tools that reveal both ethical and profitable options are demonstrated, along with skills for formulating an organization's code of ethics. Topics such as downsizing, environmental abuse, community/societal responsibilities, government business relations, gender equality, the use of power, ethics in strategic planning, and cultural diversity are analysed and discussed from a managerial perspective. This course may be credited towards Social Welfare and Social Development.
