POLI 2207 Democracy and Development
Hours:Three hours of lecture per week for one term.
Description:What is progress and how does it translate into political terms? This course will employ a comparative approach in the analysis of development and its relation to democracy. Depending on the expertise of the professor, the course will address various institutional, cultural, historical and economic contexts of democratization towards an understanding of how the success of democratic politics and of development can be judged in their relations. This course may be credited towards Social Welfare and Social Development.
