UNIV 1011 Academic Success: Theory and Practice
Restrictions:This course is restricted to students enroled in their first 30 university credits or students in the RPN to BScN Blended Learning Program.
Hours:Three hours of lecture per week for one term.
Description:Through the development of attitudes and skills that promote success in higher education, students learn how to function effectively in the academic environment. Students examine and apply theory drawn from various disciplines and human development models to their academic, personal, and social growth. Topics include time management, critical thinking, reading, and writing skills, learning styles and study skills, research and library skills, communication and online skills, as well as academic and career planning.
