Restrictions:Students are limited to a maximum of 12 credits of History at the 1000 level.
Hours:Two hours of lecture and one hour of seminar per week for one term.
Description:This course examines the Second World War in a global context. In surveying principle 'flashpoints' between 1937-1945, we explore the origins, conduct and outcomes of the last global war. Particular attention will be paid to themes such as scope, combatants and methods. Finally, we will examine some of the debates concerning the intentions, practices and impacts of this conflict that fundamentally transformed our world.
