Six credits of 2000 level English (excluding ENGL 2001, ENGL 2002 and ENGL 2011).Antirequisites:

Students explore the dominant literary subject of the early modern period: the pursuit of love in all its variations, human and divine. While students examine mainly lyric poetry (short poems), they may expect to study at least one dramatic work and some selections of prose.
