Description:

In this systematic physical geography course students study the cryosphere using a practical approach to the measurement and analysis of the elements associated with snow and ice hydrology. Topics include snowfall, the formation and evolution of the snow pack, snowmelt, avalanches, ice growth and decay on sea ice, lakes and rivers, as well as glaciers and glacial hydrology, ground ice and permafrost hydrology. This course may be credited towards Science.
