Description:

This course explores the use in adult education of various kinds of educational technology to support face-to-face and distance learning. These include video links, computer conferencing, learning management systems, social networking, web sites, and on-line research. There will be a specific emphasis on assistive technologies including scan and read, voice recognition, screen magnification, hearing amplification, and mind-mapping software. The course will include training in selected items. An inventory of devices, suppliers, supports, and prices will be compiled.
