Description:

The course provides an introduction to the use of technology in business and an understanding of innovation, environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The relationship between technology, innovation and sustainability from the perspective of the firm and society is examined. The concepts of innovation and commercialization of technologies are studied. Evaluating technologies, their impact on business and society, and technology sustainability in a variety of industries and applications such as green technologies, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are assessed. Collaboration, project management, change management, privacy & security and concepts related to the successful deployment of technology are introduced.
