Prerequisites:

CHFS 3036 or PSYC 3036; 70% in either CHFS 3136 or PSYC 3136 and 70% in either CHFS 3137 or PSYC 3137 and approval of the Department. Valid Criminal Record Check required prior to course start.

Description:

Students gain experience in designing and implementing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) programs with individuals with emotional/behavioural and/or developmental needs. Placements, placement protocols, and field supervisors must be approved beforehand. Placements may be secured in schools, clinical settings, justice settings, long-term care facilities, and others, and must be in completed within teams proficient in ABA strategies and program development. A student and field supervisor's report must be submitted to the Department upon completion of the placement. This course is also offered as PSYC 4316.
