Hours:

Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

Credits:

Description:

Graduate students examine transitions between levels of formal and informal education, transitions in instructionals practice, and the intersection of these two significant themes in educational research (e.g., in broad-based school initiatives, transitions to life and the workplace, and self-directed, meaningful, life-long learning). Students engage in readings pertaining to major transitions in contemporary approaches to education that support critical conversations exploring praxis (i.e., the theoretical underpinnings and practical outcomes) involved in facilitating effective transitions.
