Teaching and Learning through e-Learning is a course that focuses on emergent research and practices in the growing field of e-Learning in Ontario. Whether you are new to e-Learning or not, this course will provide a forum for reflecting, sharing and learning by deepening your understanding of Teaching and Learning through e-Learning. Contextually, the course covers theoretical foundations around Teaching and Learning through e-Learning as well as program planning, development and implementation. Pedagogical principles are examined in light of the perceived needs of 21st century learners, and the changing culture and landscape of education today. Finally, assessment and evaluation in an e-Learning context are addressed as well as the need to expand the lines of communication to all stakeholders for success and support. This course is essential for teachers interested in developing professionally in the area of e-Learning.
