PHED 2026 and 48 credits completed.

Restrictions:

Restricted to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Physical and Health Education program.

Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

Description:

The purpose of this course is to expand student knowledge and understanding of the field of Exercise and Health Psychology. Students learn the theories that have been developed to help understand exercise adherence and health behaviours. An emphasis is placed on research-based evidence and the critical evaluation of literature pertaining to the topics covered within the course including the role of exercise and other health behaviours in preventing and treating stress, chronic disease and mental illness.
