ENGL 4795  Creative and Critical Writing Honours Essay

Prerequisites:

Restricted to students in the fourth year of the Honours English program who possess at least a 77% (B+) average in English. Approval of the Department is required prior to registration. Students wishing to take this course during the following Fall/Winter Session must apply in writing to the discipline no later than February 15.

Corequisites:

Three credits of 4000 level ENGL.

Description:

The creative and critical writing honours essay consists of two parts: a creative writing project and a critical essay. In the critical essay, students demonstrate their grasp of critical theory and locate their creative work within a larger literary context.
