Description:

Teacher candidates consider ideas about intelligence, talent, creativity and leadership and the characteristics of significantly advanced performance in these areas. Candidates examine a variety of methods for identifying students whose performance is significantly advanced and explore different educational arrangements for students who are gifted. Candidates examine historical approaches to providing for students who are gifted and explore practices for teaching students who are gifted.
