Description:

This course will examine the science of people's interactions with plants, and focus on First Nations' uses of plants in addition to plant-human interactions in other world cultures. This course employs a multidisciplinary approach involving botany, biochemistry, pharmacology, anthropology, sociology, ethnology and spirituality. Students in this course will be required to participate in meaningful experiential learning through field work. This course is also offered as BIOL 3567.
