Hours:

Credits:

Description:

Emphasizing the link between student well-being, student engagement, and academic/social achievement, teacher candidates explore theories and practices related to school climate, student behaviour (productive and unproductive), and classroom management. Candidates interrogate beliefs, preconceptions, and assumptions that underlie practices and policies related to management of student behaviour, and apply these new understandings to developing respectful, meaningful, and practical ways to engage, support, and empower students.
