UNIV 3006 Experiential Learning in Arts and Science
Prerequisites:
Students must have completed at least 60 credits with a minimum 70% overall average, and are completing a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. Students wishing to take this course must secure a faculty supervisor and apply in writing to their Department Chair no later than March 15 for the Spring/Summer term; July 15 for the Fall; and November 15 for the Winter.
Hours:
A minimum of 60 hours of placement for a single term plus Course, Advisor meetings.

Description:
Students will identify an experiential learning opportunity in the community that reflects their current field of study and future ambitions.
Students will work with a community partner to complete at least 60 hours of placement as well as academic assignments. This course may be credited towards Social Welfare and Social Development. This course may be credited towards a student's program of study with the approval of the academic unit.
