Description:
Students engage with the main state-of-the-art tools and technologies employed in data science and data analytics, including Hadoop, MapReduce, NoSQL database systems, visual analytics, and programming in the R and Python programming languages. Application of the use of these tools are based in real-world applications. Students will also develop an understanding of the computational, mathematical, statistical, and theoretical foundations of these tools.
