Description:
Students examine the influence of culture and other forms of diversity on client responses to health, health challenges and the provision of nursing care. Topics will include racism as a determinant of health and anti-racist health care practice. Cultural diversity assessment with particular emphasis on Canadian cultural groups and the use of these assessments in planning and implementing culturally congruent care is explored.
