Description:
The physical, intellectual, emotional, and social changes from infancy through late adolescence are emphasized. There is also an examination of developments from youth onwards, some of the physical and neurophysiological processes involved, various theories of learning and development, and relevant content usually covered in
PSYC 1106 and
PSYC 1107. The relevance of research findings and theories in developmental psychology to the educational process and to situations which teachers may encounter are discussed.
