Restrictions:
Restricted to students in the following streams: Criminology, Corrections, Policing, and Legal Studies and Administration.

Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

Description:
Students explore issues involved in family law in Canada, such as divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, domestic violence, paternity and access/visitation. Important family law cases will be reviewed along with social theory related to the family. Students will develop critical thinking in the area of family law.
