COSC 3007  Artificial Intelligence

Prerequisites:

MATH 1037, MATH 1046, and one of: COSC 2006 or a 2000-level DATA course

Hours:

Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

Description:

Students review and evaluate the theory, algorithms, implementations, and applications of artificial intelligence. Topics include: intelligent agents; search strategies; deep learning; FAS-2526-00090 generative AI; large language models; interpretability and explainability; environmental and societal impacts; and the limitations of artificial intelligence. Applications include natural language processing, imaging, social media, and emerging areas of neuro-symbolic AI and agentic artificial intelligence.
