Description:
Students explore the fundamental principles, architectures, and techniques for designing and implementing distributed systems. Students explore the challenges of resource sharing, concurrency, fault tolerance, and scalability in distributed environments. Topics include communication models, remote procedure calls, synchronization and coordination, distributed file systems, consistency models, replication, distributed algorithms, cloud computing, and emerging paradigms such as edge and decentralized systems. Students examine both theoretical foundations and practical applications hrough hands-on programming assignments and case studies.
