Prerequisites:

GEOG 1017 and GEOG 2026

Antirequisites:

GEOG 2015 and GEOG 2016

Hours:

Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

Description:

Students build practical skills in geographic field methods by collecting data, mapping, and conducting spatial analysis. Students design and carry out field investigations with GPS, surveying tools, and environmental sensors. The course connects field observations with GIS and remote sensing to interpret landscapes and spatial patterns. Field excursions foster professional skills, data recording, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving. This course may be credited towards Science.
