Description:

Students learn the principles of hydroclimatology, focusing on interactions between the Earth’s energy, climate and the hydrologic cycles across spatial and temporal scales. Students gain an understanding of the fundamental processes governing energy and water flow on Earth to explore how atmospheric and hydrological process govern precipitation, evapotranspiration, soil moisture, water storage, runoff, extreme events (floods and droughts) and how these processes influence climate variability and climate change.
