Description:

Students explore the major events, themes, and patterns of the American past, and develop the basic skills integral to the historical profession. Lectures acquaint students with the broad narrative and interpretive frameworks of U.S. history. Practical skills-based assignments develop students’ facility with footnoting, primary source analysis, methodology, and historiography.
