Restricted to students in the 3rd year of the BSW program

Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

Description:

Students explore some of the standard theoretical and practical approaches used in working with families. The impact of society’s expectations of families as well as the impact of social structures on families is investigated. An intersectional approach that acknowledges the diversity of family forms is central to the course.
