Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

Description:

Students explore both historical and contemporary (in)formal responses to violence against women and children. Violence will be broadly defined, including physical, psychological, sexual and other forms of abuse across the lifespan. Theoretical approaches to understanding the phenomenon of violence inform the investigation of societal, legal and community responses to the issue.
