Restricted to students in the professional years of the BSW program

Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

Description:

Students critically explore theoretical, practice and policy issues in relation to mental health and addiction in Canada. Students investigate issues and dilemmas confronted by social workers in addition to the roles and limitations of the social work profession in promoting healthy communities. Students will have the opportunity to investigate how social, economic, political and historical practices may negatively affect well-being and healing.
