This course is restricted to students enrolled in the RPN to BScN Blended Learning Program.

Description:

Students examine disability and health in the context of Canadian society and the Canadian healthcare system through the various disability theories and perspectives. Topics include access to health care for persons with disabilities, abelism and stigma, health inequities and the politics of identity in health care. The voices and lived experience of persons with disability is a theme threaded through the topics explored.
