FAVA 4116 Independent Study in Art History and Visual Studies
Prerequisites:
6 credits of 3000 level art history and visual studies or
permission of the department. Students wishing to take
this course during the following Spring/Summer or
Fall/Winter session must apply in writing to the
department Chair no later than February 15.
Restrictions:
This course is restricted to students in the BA
Major in Fine Arts (art history and visual studies
stream) who require a 4000-level course to satisfy
the additional requirement for an Honours Double Major. BFA Honours students may also take this
course as an elective but may not count it towards
the BFA program requirements.

Description:
Students complete an independent research paper or project under the guidance of a faculty supervisor. Regular meetings are scheduled to support research. Students wishing to take this course during the following Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter session must apply in writing to the department Chair no later than February 15.
