Prerequisites:

Six credits of 1000 level History or 24 credits completed.

Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

Description:

Students examine the various ways the ancient world is represented on film, in video games, computer animation, graphic novels, and music. Special attention is paid to how modern media can be used to reconstruct specific aspects of life in the ancient world in ever more vivid and relatable ways for modern students and scholars of antiquity, as well as for the general public.
