Honours Specialization with a Social Service Worker diploma

Graduation Requirements:

In addition to the program requirements listed below, students must also satisfy the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree requirements, which include regulations on first year and subject maximum and breadth requirements.

Program Requirements:

Students must complete 120 credits as outlined below. Students are recommended to use the following yearly course plan as a guide for course selection.

The 30 credits required in Year 3 are offered in collaboration with the Social Service Worker diploma at Canadore College.

SWLF 2007 Poverty and Social Policy in Canada 3 cr.
SWLF 2995 Community Service-Learning for Social Development 6 cr.
SOCI 2126 Social Research Methods 3 cr.
SOCI 2127 Social Statistics and Data Analysis 3 cr.

**It is recommended that students register for SWLF 3806 and SWLF 3826 to satisfy part of their SWLF 3000 level requirements.


A maximum of 6 credits of cross-listed courses may count toward an Honours Specialization with a Social Service Worker Diploma.
