Arts and Culture (CULT) - Visual Culture II

CULT 2007  Visual Culture II

CULT 2006

Three hours of lecture per week for one term.

This course continues the exploration of how visual culture has been constructed, historically, technologically, and theoretically. Students further develop critical skills and conceptual tools to analyze various forms of visual culture. The course further addresses both the formal analysis of images and a range of conceptual and theoretical issues associated with visual culture. This course picks up where CULT2006 left off, by focusing on selected media of visual culture from the mid-twentieth century to the present.
