Description:

Students examine a variety of films produced across a range of international studios (excluding the U.S.A.), with consideration given to transnationalism as well as specific geopolitical cultural contexts.  Topics may include contemporary global art cinema and festivals, transcultural and diasporic cinemas, postcoloniality and eurocentrism, and the influence of globalization. This course may be credited towards a Major in Fine Arts (Art History and Visual Studies stream).
