Description:
Students are introduced to the management of human resources in an environment in
which all or some employees belong to an organized group, such as a union or
association. Topics include the economic, political and social contexts of industrial
relations, private/public sector legislation, the union certification process, the collective
bargaining process, and the dispute resolution process. A required component of the
course will be that students take part in a bargaining simulation exercise.
