Description:
This course will explore anthropological approaches to the role of law and legal systems with respect to Aboriginal peoples in Canada. Particular attention will be paid to diverse cultural perspectives that have informed legal traditions in the areas of land, resources, governance, legal procedures, and Aboriginal and Treaty rights. This course may be credited towards Native Studies and Social Welfare & Social Development.
