Description:

In this course students evaluate psychological factors that support accurate mental state inferences (mind reading). Specifically, you discuss, present, and write about verbal, non-verbal, and physiological signals that people rely upon to infer people’s emotional states, personality traits, and interpersonal communications. Students read research articles on topics such as children’s theory of mind, how too much information undermines mind reading accuracy, and which regions of the brain support lie detection.
