Description:

This course examines theories and practices related to inter-professional case management. Current issues, trends, and approaches, are examined. Case studies offer an understanding of multidisciplinary teams functioning and clinical/client pathways. Using evidence-based research, case management approaches are examined in relation to program and policy development. Integration of theory and practice is applied to screening, intake, crisis intervention, client education, referral, record keeping, inter- and intra-agency collaboration and consultation, ethics, confidentiality, advocacy, and meeting complex needs of clients.
