Description:

Students explore core concepts in Linguistic Anthropology, with an emphasis on the intersections between language, culture, and society. Students examine a variety of topics including language ideologies, how social relationships and social structures influence language use, how language is used in social interactions, the relationships between language and power, and language endangerment and revitalization.
